Though just once, Capterra does pay. Everything sounds reasonable at first—you leave a review, get a coupon, and it all seems fair. I gave a company I actually liked five stars, and the review was accepted fast. However, when I started evaluating organizations I had actual problems with—ones who, in my view, were like Capterra's partners—those evaluations either vanished or never were published. It truly feels as though they only approve evaluations that either make their associates or themselves look good. Though it turns out they are simply selecting what most benefits them, I assumed it was about honest criticism. Thus, avoid expecting anything less than brilliant to turn up if you intend to leave anything. Clearly not as open as they seem.
