For a program I used, I published a review on Capterra that was honest, kind, thorough, and aimed to really benefit others. I never heard anything back from them though. Usually, they let you know when your review is approved; I suppose they simply did not publish it. And to be honest, that leads me to believe the software company may be either partnered with Capterra or pays her. Should such be the case, it is difficult to accept Capterra is objective or independent as they assert. Given that people depend on these sites to make wise judgments, that is a major issue. How are consumers meant to know what they are truly signing up for if only the excellent reviews pass through? You wind up purchasing software you might come to regret, believing it to have been reasonably rated.
