Buddy.ai Charged Me After Free Trial Despite No Usage or Active Subscription

I initially signed up for Buddy.ai's 1-month free trial for my child. Unfortunately, my child didn’t enjoy the app at all and barely used it—definitely not enough to justify any kind of payment. We didn’t activate any paid subscription, nor did we use the app beyond the trial period.

However, to my shock, the app still charged my credit card after the trial ended without my consent or any warning. We had no intention of continuing, and there was no usage that could justify an automatic renewal. This is incredibly frustrating and feels like a sneaky way to take money from users who aren’t even active.

I’m formally requesting an immediate refund and for any active subscription to be fully canceled. If this issue isn’t resolved, I’ll be filing a complaint with the Consumer Rights Board. It’s unacceptable for an app to process charges after zero usage and no user approval. I expect a prompt resolution.
