Discrepancy and Unexpected Fees at Booking.com Property

I have been scammed by a property advertised on Booking.com, booking number 6046497889 pin 1092. This was not a guesthouse, but instead someone is living permanently at the address, 3* Jarvis Street, Cape Town. I made the booking in July 2025 for 20 September, and during the week of 17 September the so-called owner contacted me demanding another R2500 as a breakage deposit. I cannot get hold of Booking.com customer service, and this is very disappointing as I have been a regular customer with them.
