Booking.com Refuses Refund After My Complaint



I'm not satisfied with Booking.com's service; no refund is issued. I made a reservation at Cape Town Protea Hotel by Marriott Mowbray with confirmation number 4618507697 from May 5th to 11th in South Africa. Upon arrival, realizing its distance from the conference center, I requested a cancellation. The hotel staff informed me they hadn't received payment from Booking.com yet and could cancel the reservation. They even sent an informative email about it. However, Booking.com refuses to refund, claiming inability to contact the hotel. Considering legal action against this unexpected and unpleasant stance from such a global company.
