Delta Hotels by Marriott Charged Me More Than Booking.com Price and Never Refunded
In August 2025, I booked a stay at Delta Hotels by Marriott New York Times Square through Booking.com. The listing clearly stated that no charges would be made before arrival, but $229.11 was withdrawn from my card as a deposit before check-in. When I contacted the hotel, they assured me that this deposit would be refunded after my stay.
However, at check-out, I was charged ₺70,000 instead of the ₺55,000 shown on Booking.com, and I was again told that the deposit would be refunded soon. It has now been weeks, and I still have not received any refund. I have contacted both Booking.com and the hotel at least ten times, but neither has provided a meaningful or consistent response. Each party simply redirects me to the other, leaving the issue unresolved.
I request that the $229.11 deposit be refunded immediately and that Booking.com take responsibility for ensuring that guests are not charged more than the listed price. This situation has caused unnecessary stress and financial inconvenience.
