Booking.com Stalls €190.34 Refund For Documented Medical Cancellation

17

I made a reservation through Booking.com for a single room at Hotel Alcyone for the dates 9–11 August 2026. Unfortunately, due to a sudden and documented medical emergency, I was physically unable to travel and complete my stay, which also caused my entire travel itinerary to collapse. I immediately informed Booking.com and provided official hospital medical records and documentation proving my condition, including an appointment and treatment records from Zonguldak Atatürk State Hospital dated 29 July 2026 from the Orthopedics and Traumatology department. On 31 July 2026, your representative Raul A. confirmed by email at 08:28 that my medical report was registered and that an exceptional fee waiver request had been submitted to the partner hotel. Later the same day, at 14:54, your representative Samira K. also confirmed in writing that my medical documentation was accepted as a valid basis regarding the cancellation process. I now have multiple Booking.com email confirmations on file regarding reservation number 11879921005826601441, showing that my medical reports and refund request have been acknowledged and that the case is being treated as a valid cancellation with a refund request. In addition to your own confirmations, I also have written WhatsApp correspondence with Hotel Alcyone regarding the cancellation and refund of this reservation, where the reservation holder name (including Kerem Erol), the Booking.com payment of around €190,34 and the hotel’s entrance number 676471087 are clearly mentioned. I also hold my Booking.com reservation receipt for Hotel Alcyone from 9 to 11 August 2026, showing the total payment of €190.34. All of these documents are available and can be provided in full. Despite these written confirmations that my medical reports are recognized as a valid reason for cancellation, my full refund of €190.34 for reservation number 11879921005826601441 is still being stalled due to ongoing back-and-forth between Booking.com, Hotel Alcyone, and the intermediary supplier Bedsonline / Hotelbeds. This situation is creating unnecessary stress and financial loss, even though the case clearly falls under medical force majeure and has already been acknowledged as such by Booking.com. In light of the documented medical emergency, the written confirmations from your support team, the correspondence with the hotel, and the fact that the trip was rendered impossible for health reasons, I request the immediate processing and payment of a full refund of €190.34 for my single-room reservation 11879921005826601441 without any further delay or bureaucracy.
