Booking.com Removed My Free Taxi Benefit Right Before My Trip
I booked a hotel for my vacation in Egypt through Booking.com, and as part of the reservation, I was granted a free taxi transfer. Due to frequent flight cancellations at Sabiha Gökçen Airport, I decided to enter my taxi details closer to my departure date to avoid any issues.
For about 5-6 days, I checked my free taxi benefit daily, and it was still available in my account. However, my flight is tomorrow, and this morning, when I tried to use the benefit, it had disappeared without any warning.
I contacted Booking.com customer service, and all they said was that they were "sorry" and that the benefit expires after 24 hours if not used—but this condition is not stated anywhere in their policy. Their own terms only mention losing the benefit if the hotel reservation is canceled, which is not my case.
This is completely unacceptable! I was misled into believing I had a free taxi, only for it to be taken away last minute with no explanation. If I had known this, I would have arranged my transportation earlier.
I demand immediate reinstatement of my free taxi benefit or compensation for the cost of my transfer. Others should be cautious about these deceptive promotions from Booking.com, as they do not honor them when it matters most.
