Booking.com Refund Request for Unsuitable Loft d'Argenteuil Accommodation
I made a reservation through Booking.com at the property “Loft d'Argenteuil,” located at 16 Rue Ambroise Croizat, 95100 Argenteuil, France, under my name, Sudhir Arora, for my daughter, Anushka Arora. The stay is for 1 adult from 11 October 2026 (check‑in between 15:00–18:00) to 18 October 2026 (check‑out between 08:00–11:00), with confirmation number 6587543053. The total amount of 432.60 EUR was paid via my SBI credit card from India. When my daughter checked in today around 15:30–16:00 (Paris time), we discovered that the property is inside a campus where there is a large dog shelter housing many dogs. Because of this, there is constant noise from the dogs and the entire property is filled with an extremely strong and unpleasant smell. The conditions are such that it is not realistically possible or healthy for her to stay there even for a single night. A few hours ago, I already reported these issues in detail through the customer care section on the Booking.com website, but we have not received any response or solution yet. As a concerned parent, I am extremely worried about my daughter’s comfort, health and safety in these conditions, and we consider the actual environment of the property to be completely unsuitable and not in line with a normal, respectable accommodation standard. I kindly request that you urgently intervene in this situation. We are open to either a complete refund of the full amount of 432.60 EUR so that we can book another place, or for you to transfer this payment towards a different, clean and respectable property in a suitable location for the same dates.
