Booking.com Refund Complaint Unresolved





My spouse and I made a reservation at Stella Di Mare Hotel & SPA | Şarm El-Sheikh via Booking.com. Due to the news of my grandfather's death, we had to return to Turkey on April 15, 2024, which resulted in our early departure from the hotel. When we spoke with the gentleman at the reception, he stated a readiness to refund the remaining days owing to our early departure for the burial. However, because the reservation was made through Booking.com, they warned us that we could only receive a refund for the remaining days if we contacted Booking.com and explained the circumstances.
We called Booking.com and explained the entire process, but they informed us that a refund could not be provided.
It is unacceptable that the refund for the remaining days cannot be issued due to an urgent and compassionate situation such as a funeral. We are requesting a refund for the remaining days due to our early departure.
