During our Basel vacation, we booked a hotel through Booking. Booking did not show the actual price of the property. We booked for 110 euros, but 240 euros were deducted from our account. 110 euros for accommodation and 130 euros for cleaning charges. Upon discovering this, we immediately tried to cancel, but they have a no-cancellation policy set up so professionally. When we called, Booking officials said they would cancel for free, but they didn't. As a result, we did not stay at the property we paid for. They didn't refund us either. The property points to the site, and the site points to the property. Ultimately, we didn't get our money back. I advise against using this site if you plan to travel abroad.
