Booking.com Listed a Hotel With Free Breakfast but I Had to Pay Extra Every Day
I had a terrible experience with booking.com. Clearly mentioned in the listing, I booked a hotel in Italy that was meant to include free breakfast. Arriving, I was informed there was absolutely no breakfast supplied. Breakfast every day during my stay ended up costing extra, which threw unanticipated expenses on my trip. When I got in touch with booking.com, customer support confirmed that it was entered wrongly but said there is nothing they could do as the hotel does not provide refunds. Any property owner may fool their listing on booking.com and get away with it, leaving you to deal with the fallout. Neither customer service nor escalation of the problem allows one to move beyond that.
