Booking.com Double Charged My Hotel Booking — How to Get a Full Refund Fast
On November 22, I made a reservation through Booking.com for the Swissôtel Sharm El Sheikh – Ultra hotel. During the booking process the total amount appeared as 25,000 ₺, but when the payment was processed, my credit card was charged 51,000 ₺. On my bank statement both transactions appear under the name “Booking”. In addition, a part of the payment was also charged in US dollars.
As soon as I noticed this, I sent emails to both Booking.com and the hotel indicating that the excessive charge was made in error. However, I believe this was done deliberately and not accidentally. To date I have received no refund and no proposal for a solution.
I demand that the overcharged amount be refunded to me in full without any deductions.
