Booking.com Disappointing Accommodation
I made a reservation via Booking.com for Cobweb Cottage in Wymondsbury under booking number 6591272706, for the dates 29/05/2026 to 22/06/2026, with a total cost of £125.00 paid in advance. However, when we arrived at the property, the accommodation was immediately unsatisfactory. The cottage smelled strongly of damp, the surroundings were unkempt, and the overall condition did not feel acceptable or comfortable for a stay. Because of this, we decided to leave the property within the hour and arranged alternative accommodation at our own expense. This experience was upsetting and very disappointing, especially as we had trusted the listing and paid in advance. I have tried to leave an honest review and contact Booking.com through your system, but I repeatedly received an error message and have not been able to submit my feedback or raise the issue properly. I would like to be able to warn other guests so they do not face the same situation. In light of the poor condition of the accommodation and the fact that we could not stay there, I am requesting a full refund of the £125.00 paid for this booking. I also ask that my experience be taken seriously and that I am allowed to share an honest review on your platform so future customers are properly informed.
