Booking.com Charged Me Full Amount After I Canceled My Reservation

I made a reservation for Flor Parks Barcelona Hotel for the dates 1–8 September through Booking.com, which was refundable and cancellable. However, when I requested to change the dates, I was told that the new price would apply. Despite sending an email about this issue around 9 days ago requesting more detailed information, I have not received any response. Since I received no clarification or resolution, I had to cancel my reservation, yet the full amount was still charged to my account despite the cancellation. As a result, I was forced to make a new reservation for a later date at a higher price, which caused financial inconvenience. I am requesting that this issue be resolved and that compensation for the price difference be provided.
