Booking.com Charged Me for a Canceled Reservation and Didn’t Refund
I made a reservation through Booking.com for Pangkor Fish House in Malaysia on February 28, 2026, at approximately 1:28 PM.
Shortly after completing the booking, the system canceled it, stating that the property was not available. However, my card was still charged 243 MYR.
On the same day, at around 3:30 PM, I received an email from Booking.com confirming that an automatic refund would be processed, and the message included a payment reference.
Despite this confirmation and the promise of an automatic refund, I have not received any refund to my card as of today.
I attempted to contact Booking.com by email, but I was repeatedly asked to provide a reservation number and PIN, which I never received because the booking was canceled by the system.
I also tried to get assistance through the AI-powered support system, but it was not helpful and did not resolve my issue.
I respectfully request that the 243 MYR charged to my card for this canceled booking be refunded as soon as possible and that this matter be resolved without any further delay.
