BMW Sold Me a 2025 320i M Sport With a Repainted Rear Bumper
On August 30, 2025, we purchased a brand new 2025 BMW 320i M Sport from the authorized BMW dealer in Istanbul/Samandıra. The following weekend, we took the car to a company for ceramic coating, and as soon as the staff examined it, they stated that the rear bumper had been painted. We immediately applied to an authorized appraisal firm, and the report confirmed that about one meter of the rear bumper had been painted. Moreover, the paint job was poorly done, lacking proper polishing, with silicone marks left on the bumper, paint covering the sensor, and a visible tone difference caused by inadequate sanding of the varnish. As a result, the car we believed to be brand new turned out to have been in an accident and quickly repainted for resale. After this was confirmed by the report, the dealer contacted us and offered free maintenance as compensation, which we cannot accept. We demand a truly brand new car as promised and have taken legal action to hold those responsible accountable.
BMW Turkey did not offer any solution on this matter. They did not replace the damaged and repainted car with a brand new vehicle as promised. We are taking the issue to court. All consumers reading this who are considering buying a car from BMW authorized dealers should take note.
