On 07.12.2025, due to heavy rainfall in Alanya, our 2019 BMW 320i suffered water damage. We reported the situation to our comprehensive insurance company on the same day, requested a tow truck, and the vehicle was transported to Antalya. For this process, we had to pay an additional 5k out of pocket as a tow truck expense.

We initially requested that our vehicle be towed to Kosifler BMW Authorized Service in Antalya, but the service center refused to accept the vehicle, citing a lack of capacity. We then contacted Otomol BMW Authorized Service, yet our vehicle was once again not accepted for similar reasons. Following our communications, we learned that authorized BMW service centers do not accept vehicles with water damage or a potential total-loss status. We conveyed our grievance to BMW Türkiye, but no solution was provided.

Afterwards, we contacted BMW authorized service centers in Konya and Ankara. All representatives we spoke with clearly stated that once they heard the term “water damage,” they would not accept the vehicle and could not offer any assistance. This entire process has created the impression that a globally renowned and prestigious brand like BMW adopts a customer-oriented approach only in profitable situations, while avoiding responsibility in cases it considers inconvenient or burdensome.

The unified stance taken by authorized service centers—effectively leaving customers without support—has severely undermined our trust in the brand and caused us significant stress and inconvenience. Due to this experience, BMW has become a major disappointment for us. We request that our vehicle be accepted by an authorized BMW service center without any further delay, that all necessary inspection and repair or total-loss procedures be properly carried out, that our out-of-pocket expenses be considered, and that our grievance be urgently resolved.
