I purchased my BMW 2.18 Gran Coupe M Sport from Izmir Özgörkey Otomotiv in June. In August, while driving, I received alarming warnings such as "DSC control system not active, avoid sudden braking" and "Limited driver support." Getting these brake system warnings while on the road is extremely unsettling. When I pulled over, I received a warning to disable the parking brake for safety against skidding. I immediately took the car to Özgörkey service, and the service process began. With only 5500 kilometers on the car, they were surprised by such a problem and consulted the BMW technical team, stating that the DSC control system would need to be replaced. The car stayed in the service for about a month, causing significant disruptions in my daily life. Despite this being a situation with no user error, they struggled to provide a replacement car, securing one only on the 9th day.
Throughout this period, I contacted the BMW communication center multiple times regarding both a replacement vehicle and the possibility of exchanging my car for a new one. They claimed to have informed the upper management of Borusan Otomotiv, but I have yet to receive any response regarding this ongoing ordeal. Today, on November 20, 2023, while driving again, I received a warning to replace the brake pads. Typically changed between 35,000-40,000 km, this car gave a warning at only 12,000 km. Did I buy a faulty car from Özgörkey? Was the mileage reset on this vehicle? Borusan representatives, why don't you at least call and explain to resolve this grievance? Both BMW-branded vehicles owned by our company have spent extended periods in service for reasons unrelated to user errors, with expensive part replacements and no provision of replacement cars during these times. Myself and those around me have lost all confidence in BMW. We believe that BMW struggles with digitalization and produces problematic vehicles. Additionally, while many lower-tier brands provide replacement cars even for a one-day service, we are left without a car due to issues entirely stemming from BMW, causing significant disruptions to our work. It's genuinely disheartening to see Borusan Otomotiv and Özgörkey Otomotiv completely lose their former excellence in sales, service, and customer satisfaction.
