BMW Refused Warranty for Battery Issue on My 2 Month Old 120
The BMW 120 vehicle with 41 DS 7** license plates, which I bought from İzmit Öztorun Oto on November 30, 2024, gave an 'electrical feedback' warning after 1 month. Since there was no problem in the operation and movement of the vehicle, I thought that the battery was weakened and I used it for a while, hoping that it would improve, but it did not improve. On 18.01.2025, I took it to Öztorun Auto service. The service said that the battery was defective due to improper use and that a paid replacement could be made. When I asked them to remove the warning and reactivate it and check if the warning appeared again, they said that they were not authorized to do this. They told me that the battery of my guaranteed vehicle, which has been used for 2 months and has not even traveled 1000 km yet, will be replaced and the new battery money will be taken from me. Although I purchased a premium warranty package, I received a rejection response to our request to solve the problem within the scope of warranty. I had a phone call to Borusan Oto customer services to re-evaluate the case and they stated that they would evaluate the case according to the feedback from Öztorun Oto. Öztorun Oto called again and said that the case was not covered by the warranty and that it was user error. Since a satisfactory definition cannot be made as user error, no information is given after purchasing the vehicle, and there is no warning about the sensitivity of the battery in the user manual, my request is assesment of the case within the scope of the warranty.
