In February 2024, I bought the Asics Gel-Nimbus 26 Lite-Show model shoes from the Zorlu AVM Asics store, and after only a short period of use—just one year—a tear appeared at the toe. I only used the product for daily wear and walking, with a total usage of a maximum of 100 km.
When I checked foreign forums and this platform, it is clear that this tearing problem is a common issue. Marlin Spor, who sells the product claiming 'we provide a 2-year material warranty,' refused to replace the defective shoes, citing 'user error' without providing any justification after examining the product. However, it is stated that in similar cases abroad, almost all customers receive a replacement. Even though Asics is the most expensive here in the world, I do not accept this kind of service approach.
I applied to the Consumer Court; however, my case was dismissed without my claims, visuals, or files being reviewed. Marlin Spor did not even provide a defense. I am also disappointed by this situation. I will contact Asics Global through my network to inform them about the service quality of their distributor. I recommend everyone who sees this complaint to consider alternative brands.
If I get a response, I expect it will probably be something like 'please share your contact information and we will get back to you.' If there will be no solution, it would be better not to respond at all. I especially want to emphasize this.
