Asics Gel-Nimbus 28 Creased and Deformed After One Hour of Wear

On February 16, 2026, I purchased a pair of Asics Gel-Nimbus 28 ATC running shoes from the Asics store located in the Hilltown Shopping Mall in Karşıyaka, İzmir, operated by Marlin Spor Malzemeleri Ticaret A.Ş. When I removed the tags and wore both shoes together for the very first time on June 2, 2026, I immediately noticed a clear crease and fold on the toe box of the left shoe — not visible from the outside, but immediately apparent the moment I put it on. The right shoe also had small, scattered indentations on the front. I wore them outside for about an hour hoping things would settle, but nothing improved.
I brought the shoes back to the same Asics store in Karşıyaka Hilltown, explained the issue in detail, and left them for inspection. On Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 3:14 PM, the store contacted me with their initial finding, stating the problem did not constitute a manufacturing defect and rejecting my claim. I disagreed and pushed back, asking for a second review. I was told the shoes were inspected two more times — but I later found out that neither of those follow-up reviews was conducted on the shoes themselves. Both were based solely on the original flawed report, making them procedurally improper. On June 13, 2026, I was left with no choice but to take the shoes back in the same defective condition.
The fact that this level of deformation occurred after just one hour of wear, combined with what I consider a superficial and careless inspection process, has put me in a very difficult position. I am asking that the shoes be reassessed as a manufacturing defect and that I receive a full refund as the preferred remedy — or, if that is not possible, a replacement pair free of any defects.
