American Airlines Canceled Flight, Rude Customer Service!
I eagerly purchased a flight from California to New York on February 2 using credit card miles. Already, securing a position along this popular route was difficult. As I awaited the confirmation email that the miles had been redeemed successfully, everything appeared to be proceeding as planned. Nonetheless, an additional communication two days prior to the February 5 departure devastated my plans: the flight had been canceled. American Airlines compelled me to scramble to find alternative accommodations, but it was difficult to locate available seats on such short notice. When I contacted customer service to resolve the matter, the representative not only displayed impoliteness but also open hostility. They abruptly disconnected the call and advised me to lodge a complaint with customer relations, a department that appeared to be unreachable. Should this matter fail to be resolved, I will aggressively pursue legal recourse in order to safeguard my rights.
