American Airlines Cancels Flight 2 Hours Before, Customer Service MIA!
Particularly concerning my recent encounter with a flight from Chicago to St. Louis, American Airlines' customer service has been abjectly bad. The flight was continuously canceled with only two hours remaining, resulting in considerable disruption. As is frequently the situation with this airline, it appears that the cancellation was precipitated by insufficient ticket sales. The absence of compassion and support from the airline personnel and gate agents is the most frustrating aspect. They appear apathetic towards the difficulties faced by passengers and are unprepared to provide substantial assistance. They seem to be more preoccupied with profit margins rather than making concerted efforts to resolve issues and move passengers to alternative flights. No special treatment or regard was extended to me, despite my high social standing. The deterioration in customer service standards is a source of discouragement.
