I made my first-ever purchase on AliExpress, ordering a tracksuit set for ages 4–6, but what I received was clearly labeled for ages 12–14. It’s completely unusable for my child, and I followed all the proper steps to report the issue. I submitted photo evidence, and AliExpress admitted the mistake and gave me a return address.
However, when I went to ship the item back, the courier company told me that the return barcode must be generated by the seller—which I was never provided. When I asked AliExpress for the barcode, they said my order wasn’t in the “free return” category. Even after explaining that I received the wrong item, they told me to pay for return shipping and they’d give me a coupon instead.
The return cost is five times more than what I paid for the product. I feel completely misled. AliExpress claims to protect buyers, but that clearly didn’t apply here.
I want a full refund, not a coupon. I do not recommend using AliExpress, because you might end up paying for their mistake, just like I did.
