Aliexpress Didn't Refund My ₺511.28 Purchase After Cancellation
On October 14 at 11:47 PM, I made a purchase of ₺511.28 on Aliexpress. However, feeling unsure, I canceled the order on October 16 at 12:18 AM. The day before, I canceled another purchase from my card transactions, listed as Iyzico-Aliexpress, due to the small quantity, and its refund appeared on my card within 10 minutes, also listed as Iyzico-Aliexpress. Trusting this process, I assumed the refund for the ₺511.28 purchase would also be processed the same way. However, the transaction appeared as Aliexpress-London in my card transactions, and the refund never came through.
I contacted Aliexpress customer service multiple times and checked with my bank, but was told that the refund had not been processed. Each customer representative gave me different times and dates for the refund, and I have screenshots of all of these interactions. The inconsistency between the Iyzico charge and the Aliexpress-London charge damaged my trust, so I requested a receipt or statement from Aliexpress. They provided written refund information, but again, each representative gave different times.
They couldn’t provide a proper document, only vague assurances like "trust us, your money is safe," with generic responses. The only evidence they gave was a so-called ARN code, which is just a number with no significance in the bank’s system. Although it’s stated that the refund was processed on October 16 at 6:00 AM, every representative has given me different times. I am attaching all the screenshots of the situation I’ve experienced, and I hope a solution is found for this.
