No Refund From Airbnb Despite Unmet Expectations
I made a three-day reservation in Milas through Airbnb and traveled all the way from Istanbul to Muğla, excited for my holiday. However, upon arriving at the house, it became evident that it did not meet my expectations. In fact, it was so disappointing that I couldn't bear to stay there any longer, leaving just two hours after checking in. Airbnb's policy stated that if I canceled on the day of check-in, I could receive a refund for the remaining days. Trusting in this policy, I left the house with hopes of recuperating some of my expenses. To my dismay, Airbnb later informed me that they would not be issuing any refunds. My holiday turned into a nightmare, and I not only had a terrible experience but also lost my hard-earned money. Despite contacting Airbnb's customer service and voicing all my concerns, I received no help, as they sided with the room owner. I have no intention of booking through Airbnb again, as they promised to protect my money but failed to honor their commitment. It's been two days of chasing my money, and I'm truly a regretful victim of Airbnb's disappointing service.
