Bershka Canceled Jacket Order After Confirming Store Pickup

1

I ordered a jacket from Bershka’s website on September 9. At the time I placed the order, the item was shown as in stock, and my order was successfully placed. I then continued monitoring the order without receiving any notification of a problem.

Regarding my order, I received an email from Bershka on September 8 stating that I would be able to pick up order number 40308823507 from the store on September 18. Based on this notification, I assumed that the item was ready and made plans to visit the store on September 18, trusting that I would be able to collect my order.

However, on September 18, I received an email stating that my order had been canceled without any explanation. Despite the item being listed as in stock and available for purchase, my order being successfully placed, and Bershka notifying me that I could pick it up in store, the order was ultimately canceled unilaterally and without an explanation. This has caused me significant inconvenience.

I want to understand why the item was offered for sale if it was not actually in stock, why my order was accepted and later canceled if stock was available, and why I was told that I could pick up the order in store if the item was not actually ready for collection. Because I had been waiting since September 9, I also lost the opportunity to purchase the same item elsewhere under similar conditions. I do not believe this inconvenience can simply be resolved by issuing a refund.

I request a clear and specific explanation as to why my order was canceled. If possible, I would also like the jacket I originally ordered to be provided and delivered to me under the same terms and conditions. Otherwise, I would like to state that I am considering exercising my legal rights as a consumer and contacting the relevant authorities.

Keeping a customer waiting for days, providing a pickup date, and then canceling the order at the last minute is not consistent with the level of customer service I would expect from a major brand like Bershka.
