Airbnb Charged ₺13,108 Without Confirmation, Refunded Only ₺495

While browsing Airbnb to compare accommodation options, I simply checked the payment methods out of curiosity. I never confirmed or approved a booking, yet my credit card was charged ₺13,108 instantly without my consent. I canceled the reservation immediately once I saw what happened, but Airbnb only refunded ₺495, which is unacceptable.

I requested a full refund right away, but was told that it’s up to the host’s discretion. The host responded once, simply saying “Sorry, we can’t do that,” and then stopped communicating altogether. No confirmation screen appeared before the charge, no email authorization was sent, and I never agreed to make this reservation in the first place.

I’m extremely frustrated that such a large payment could be processed without any double-check or consent from my end. This isn’t how a trustworthy booking platform should work.

I demand a full and immediate refund for this unauthorized charge. Airbnb must take full responsibility for processing unapproved payments and holding users liable for hosts’ unwillingness to cooperate.
