Air Arabia Casablanca-Istanbul Flight Cancellation Denied After Morocco Earthquake

On August 30, 2023, I purchased two plane tickets from Air Arabia for a trip from Casablanca to Istanbul, departing on September 16, 2023, and returning on September 22, 2023. On September 8, due to an earthquake in Morocco, we attempted to cancel our flight. However, the airline refused to allow this, only permitting us to reschedule the flight to a different date. Additionally, they imposed a penalty of €45 per person for this change. Considering the earthquake caused the change in our travel plans, we should have been granted the right to cancel the ticket directly or, at the very least, reschedule the flight without facing penalties.
