I Face Check-In Delays and No Support from Air Albania at Istanbul Airport

My recent experience with Air Albania at Istanbul Airport was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. Despite the airline operating from a major international hub, there was no representative or help desk available to assist passengers. Our flight was scheduled for 10:40 AM, yet by 9:40 AM we still didn’t know which check-in counter to go to. No announcements were made, and there was zero guidance from airport staff or the airline.

We spent hours waiting around with our luggage, completely in the dark. When we finally figured out where to go, we discovered that check-in was outsourced to a third-party agency, which clearly struggled with the process. As a result, our flight was delayed by 30 minutes.

This lack of organization and customer care made it one of the worst flight experiences I’ve ever had. I expected better from a company operating in such a large international airport. Air Albania must take full responsibility for this unacceptable service. I urge the airline to review their ground operations at Istanbul Airport and ensure proper staffing, signage, and communication to avoid causing further inconvenience to passengers like myself.
