Unconfirmed Reservation Causes Inconvenience at Agoda
At the Bodrum Historical Museum Resort, I made a reservation for 2 nights from September 25 to 27. After receiving the booking confirmation, I contacted the hotel via WhatsApp to confirm the reservation. They confirmed our arrival.
When we arrived at the hotel the next day, the reception informed us that the reservation had not been confirmed. If there was an issue, they should have called us to inform. We could have adjusted our plans accordingly. In the evening, we had to call the hotel again, causing inconvenience.
When we requested a refund, we were redirected to the agency and then to the Agoda website. Agoda has no Turkish customer service, and the English-speaking customer service briefly listened, then the connection dropped, and they simply hung up. No interest, no one reachable for the unused hotel room, and they even ask for a review of our holiday experience. It's simply ridiculous. We couldn't get our money back. The behavior of agoda.com in Turkey should be reviewed. They and the hotel put us in this difficult situation. Sincerely...
