Agoda Cancels My Confirmed Hotel Reservation Without Notice
I am writing to submit a formal complaint regarding a reservation error, unjust cancellation, and an unauthorized charge to my credit card.
Below is a chronological summary of what happened during my trip to Paris:
I made a single 3-night reservation for Hotel Aulivia. Before my trip, I received a “Reservation Confirmed” notification.
When I arrived at the hotel, the front desk staff informed me that my reservation had been canceled. They showed me proof of the cancellation directly on their system screens.
As a result, I was left without accommodation in Paris and was forced to find and pay for another hotel at the last minute. This caused serious inconvenience and financial loss.
Later, I realized that the Agoda system had automatically created a second reservation without my consent and charged my credit card for a service I never received.
I now have two reservation numbers for a single stay:
Reservation No. 1: 608571975
Reservation No. 2: 1971720958
I made only one reservation. The second one was created incorrectly by your system. Since your live support team was unable to resolve this issue, I am contacting you via email.
My requests are as follows:
An immediate and full refund of all amounts charged to my credit card for these reservations
Compensation for the damages caused by being left without a hotel upon arrival
Please process this refund immediately. Otherwise, I will be forced to file a chargeback with my bank for an unauthorized transaction.
