Our AEG dishwasher developed a water leakage issue during the washing process. To address this, we contacted the authorized AEG customer service yesterday and had them come to our home. Upon arrival, they quoted a price of 3450 ₺ (new machines are available on the market for 4500 ₺). They explained that the machine's motor needed refurbishing, and the nozzles and water pipe needed to be replaced for free. In reality, the main issue was already in the damaged water pipe, which had suffered damage from long-term use.
Given the high amount and the fact that I couldn't cover these costs, I only requested the replacement of the pipe. However, they insisted that they could only perform all the works together and insisted on it, despite my willingness to accept all conditions and only demand the warranty of the authorized customer service for the pipe replacement.
There seemed to be no specific equipment on site, only a toolbox. If the authorized service is called and they don't appear with the necessary tools, how can they help? It seemed that the goal was merely to obtain the 200 ₺ fee for the visit. I feel unfairly treated when excessively high prices are demanded under the guise of authorized service.
In short, I just want to replace my water pipe, as the machine is otherwise working perfectly. Statements regarding the motor overhaul and nozzle replacement seem to me as unnecessary and superfluous costs. My problem was not resolved - no one calls an authorized service just for fun and then pays only 200 ₺.
(Note: After filling out the service report via message, a replacement of the cover due to a device defect was also noted, even though they had already said they couldn't replace the cover. The service report indicated a fee of 1300 ₺ without detailed information on the performed tasks such as motor overhaul, nozzle change, etc.)
