Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Story Mode Won’t Open

Back in the day, we used to buy a game CD, pop it in, and play without issues. Now, even when you buy the CD, it’s a battle just to access the story mode. Everywhere I look, it’s filled with multiplayer options. The developers are no longer delivering quality work, and this needs attention from Activision. I purchased Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, but I can’t open the story mode no matter what I try. Should I be upset that I spent a lot of money on a game I can’t even play or that my money is going to waste? Please fix this issue so I can enjoy the game I paid for.
