Zara Home Sent a Baby Toy With Bird Droppings Inside a Sealed Package

On May 16, 2026, I ordered the “Fabric Toy Cat Family” product for my baby from the Zara Home online store. My order number is 80111563807. When the package arrived, the shipping box showed no signs of damage, tampering, or having been opened during transit. However, upon opening the box, I noticed that the toy had been shipped without any protective wrapping, sealed packaging, or hygiene barrier of any kind.
As soon as I removed the product from the box, I discovered what appeared to be bird droppings clearly visible on the toy. Considering that this is a product intended for babies, I find this situation extremely alarming, unsanitary, and completely unacceptable. The condition of the outer box indicates that the contamination likely occurred during storage, handling, or packaging rather than during transportation.
This is not merely a product quality issue but also a serious hygiene and safety concern. Baby products should be handled, stored, and packaged under strict sanitary conditions. Receiving a product contaminated in this manner raises significant concerns about the quality control procedures applied before shipment.
Because it was the weekend, we reported the issue to Zara Home via email and are currently waiting for a response. However, given the seriousness of the situation, I expect more than a simple replacement. I request a sincere apology, appropriate compensation for the inconvenience and concern caused, and a thorough review of Zara Home’s storage, hygiene, and packaging procedures, particularly for products intended for infants and children.
Most importantly, I ask Zara Home to conduct the necessary inspections and implement corrective measures to ensure that no other customer—and especially no baby—is exposed to a similar health and safety risk in the future.
