YouHodler Locked Me Out After Failing Passport Scan During Re-Verification

February 5, 2025 9:51 AM116

I have a YouHodler account roughly three years old. I passed the required standard verification process without any problems when I first registered, then made a few trades and could deposit money. I chose to let the account lie inactive for a little when the crypto market fell. Prices have recovered, hence I wanted to take some money out of there. YouHodler insisted, surprisingly, that I repeat the whole verification process. Using the identical paperwork as before, the scanning of my passport failed because of inadequate illumination. I have been locked out of my account since then, and my repeated requests to attempt the verification under better lighting have been turned aside. Especially after years of verified user status, this is beyond annoying.
