My Yandex Go Driver Used Toll Roads Without My Approval
At 12:49 a.m. on August 2, 2026, I requested a taxi through the Yandex Go app from Sabiha Gökçen Airport to Alemdağ in Çekmeköy. Although the estimated fare shown in the app was approximately $14–$15 and I selected a toll-free route, the driver, Elustu Teyfur, took me on toll roads in a yellow Fiat Egea with license plate 34 TCM 17. At the end of the trip, he demanded a $35 cash payment.
As shown in the trip details, the ride was processed under the economy rate with a $14 cash fare. Despite this, the driver demanded more than twice the amount displayed in the app and used toll roads even though I had selected a toll-free route. I contacted the ride support team through the app, but they only apologized and said my feedback would be reviewed. No concrete solution was provided.
I am requesting that Yandex Go investigate this trip, refund the excess amount charged by the driver, and take the necessary action regarding the driver’s conduct.
