On January 13, 2023, I purchased two Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro smartphones. I used both phones without any issues for about three years, but recently both devices experienced the exact same motherboard failure at the same time.
The phones’ screens go black, sometimes they stop charging, and because the display no longer works, the devices become completely unusable. The fact that two phones purchased on the same date developed the exact same malfunction strongly suggests that this model may have a chronic hardware defect.
I took the devices to an authorized service center on February 17, 2026. After about 15 days, I was contacted and told that the motherboard must be replaced, and I was asked to pay about $431 per phone for the repair.
Even though I explained that this failure is clearly not due to user error and is entirely related to the device itself, the company refused to take responsibility and did not provide any assistance. Because the warranty period has expired, both phones that I used for three years are now essentially useless, which has completely destroyed my trust in the brand.
Experiencing the same major defect in two identical phones clearly indicates that Xiaomi sold a product with serious durability issues. It is unacceptable for such a costly repair to appear immediately after the warranty period ends.
For this reason, I request that both of my phones be replaced with new devices free of charge.
