No Warranty Support After 2 Years for Xiaomi Redmi 9 - 32GB 3GB RAM

On June 16, 2021, I purchased a Xiaomi Redmi 9 - 32GB 3GB RAM carbon grey model phone for my mother. After two years, the phone began to slow down. When I called customer service, they informed me that the warranty had expired and that they would charge me for the service because it was 1 month past the warranty period. I'm not sure how this works. They charge for a service simply because it is 1-2 months past the warranty, as if the phone's slowness is my fault. Where is the customer satisfaction in this? Despite the fact that I prefer Xiaomi for phones, robot vacuum cleaners, and all of my electronic devices, I will not purchase any product from a company that does not value their customers. Xiaomi has disappointed me. I simply need warranty assistance.
