Whirlpool Fridge Making Loud Clicking Noise from Ice Maker

I have a Whirlpool fridge with an automatic ice maker, purchased from a Vestel dealer in Trabzon. Recently, the ice maker has started making a loud “tık tık tık” noise when I press the ice-making button. While the fridge continues to make and dispense ice, the noise is concerning. The sound stops when I open the freezer or the fridge door, but it resumes until the second or third ice is dispensed. This issue may indicate a short circuit, but the service team from Trabzon Pelitli (request no. 8098766253) couldn’t diagnose the problem.
The service visit ended with no solution, and they said a necessary part wasn’t available without specifying which part. They still requested a ₺200 fee, claiming it was for a “maintenance check,” but I’m questioning why I should pay this when the issue remains unresolved. Here are my concerns:
While Vestel’s website states a fee can be charged if no problem is found, there clearly is an issue with the ice maker. Why am I being asked to pay ₺200 for a visit that didn’t solve the problem?
What steps can I take when the service team lacks the technical expertise to understand and fix the issue?
I would appreciate a proper resolution to this ongoing issue with my fridge.
