Unknown, Foreign Numbers from Abroad Are Reaching On WhatsApp

can anyone tell me what's wrong with Whatsapp? been getting these missed calls from random foreign numbers, and turns out they're coming all the way from Cameroon.never been there, know no one living there?? I gotta say, it's got me all confused and worried about the safety of our phone numbers. now wondering how our contact info is getting to these far-off places? And I don't even recognize any of the numbers that keep trying to call us. It's weird? It's kinda weird getting calls from random foreign numbers, and it leaves me feeling unsure about why they're trying to reach us, has this happened to anyone else, or am I the only one?
