Follow these steps to stop people you don't know from adding you to WhatsApp groups on your iPhone:
• On your iPhone, open WhatsApp and look for the bar at the bottom.
• Then, tap on "Settings" from the list.
• Go to "Account," "Privacy," and "Groups."
• You can pick "Everyone," "My Contacts," or "My Contacts Except."
• If you choose "Everyone," anyone can join groups with you.
• If you pick "My Contacts," only people you've saved can add you.
• With "My Contacts Except," you can change which contacts can add you and how they are shown.
• You can pick contacts one at a time, or you can use the "Select All" button in the bottom right corner to pick all of them.
If you do these steps, people you don't know will not be able to add you to WhatsApp groups. This feature was added by WhatsApp in response to user feedback that users were worried about being added to random groups without permission.
