Received Suspicious WhatsApp Message from Pakistan-Based Number Without Consent
On November 7, 2024, I received a WhatsApp message from a business account with the country code 92, which I later identified as originating from Pakistan. I have no personal or professional connections to Pakistan, so this unsolicited message was highly concerning and intrusive.
I immediately blocked the number to prevent further contact. However, I am deeply disturbed by how my phone number was accessed without my consent. I am particularly worried about the potential misuse of my personal data, including my phone number, private messages, photos, or even the possibility of unauthorized activities such as establishing a company, making purchases, or incurring debts in my name.
I hold WhatsApp responsible for ensuring user security and demand an explanation for how this breach of privacy occurred. I explicitly state that I will not accept any liability for unauthorized actions linked to this situation. WhatsApp must address this matter urgently to protect its users and prevent future incidents like this.
