I Face Temporary WhatsApp Restriction After Creating Parent Group As Teacher

I am a public school teacher, and for the class I mentor I had to create a parent group on WhatsApp using my personal phone. Right after setting up this group, I received a warning that my account was “temporarily restricted.” The restriction lasted six hours, then repeated again in the same way. At this moment, I am unable to send messages to any of my contacts.

I contacted WhatsApp Support, but they did not give me a specific reason. The only explanation was a vague mention of “policy limits.” I have never sent mass messages, advertisements, or anything resembling spam. I have created parent and class groups before without any problem. Now my ability to communicate with parents and manage school-related tasks is blocked.

I also suspect that my account may have been targeted by a spam attack from someone trying to cause harm, as I strictly follow security practices. Two-step verification is enabled, and my device is fully protected.

I am demanding a clear and detailed explanation of why my account was restricted, with proper evidence. If this is a mistake caused by automated systems, I expect my account to be immediately restored and my grievance resolved without delay. WhatsApp must ensure that teachers and other professionals who rely on the platform for essential communication are not left vulnerable to false flags and unwarranted restrictions.
