Suspicious WhatsApp Call from +254 – How Is My Number Being Accessed?

I received a WhatsApp voice call from +254 768 107546, a number that I do not recognize and have no connection to. My brother and spouse also received similar calls from different numbers. Since the caller was not in my contacts, I did not answer and immediately blocked the number.

I have no ties to this country or any reason to receive calls from it, and this situation is extremely concerning. How are these unknown callers accessing our phone numbers? This raises serious privacy and security concerns regarding WhatsApp’s handling of personal data.

If my information is ever misused—whether through identity theft, unauthorized transactions, or fraudulent activities—I will hold WhatsApp fully responsible. I demand urgent action to investigate and prevent these unsolicited calls. Fix this now!
