Received a Suspicious WhatsApp Call from +20 (Egypt) – How Was My Number Leaked?
On February 28, 2025, at 14:17, I received a WhatsApp voice call from a number with the +20 country code. I did not answer the call, and it disconnected shortly after. After researching online, I found that this number originates from Egypt, a country I have no personal or business connections with.
Many other users have reported similar suspicious calls, raising concerns about how these people are getting our personal phone numbers. Who are they, and why are they calling? I am extremely concerned about the security of my personal data, including my phone number, account details, messages, and photos.
If my information is ever misused—whether for identity theft, unauthorized transactions, or fraud—I will hold WhatsApp fully responsible. I demand an explanation and urgent action to stop these privacy breaches!
