On October 7, 2025, I received a WhatsApp call from a foreign number starting with the country code +237. I have no connection or commercial relationship with the caller or anyone associated with that number. I did not answer the call, and there were no messages or further attempts at communication. The last four digits of my WhatsApp number are 8406. After the incident, I immediately blocked and reported the number through WhatsApp.
I urge WhatsApp to strengthen its security measures to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future. Users should not have to deal with random or potentially unsafe international calls without protection.
