On October 7, 2025, at 4:05 PM, I received a WhatsApp call from a phone number registered in India. This was concerning, as I have no connection whatsoever to that region. Although there was no suspicious activity after the call, I believe such calls could pose a potential security risk.
Immediately after the call, I blocked and reported the number. However, I want to make sure that similar incidents do not happen again. The last four digits of my WhatsApp number are 0706.
I urge WhatsApp to take immediate action to prevent such calls in the future and implement stronger safety measures to protect users. Furthermore, I hold WhatsApp responsible for any potential harm or data risk that may arise as a result of this incident.
