Vrbo Service Fee Complaint - High Commissions, Unhelpful Service
I faced some problems when I tried to list my home on the Vrbo app. The process was a bit complicated and didn't move as quickly as Airbnb. I reached out to customer service via email to seek clarification regarding the listing and commission rates, as I found them to be unclear. The following day, I received a call from a representative who was not a native English speaker. They were trying to give me some information regarding the issue. Firstly, the representative seemed to lack the necessary knowledge, as they admitted to not being sure about many questions and needing to do further research. This left me feeling uncertain about their ability to assist me. Another issue to consider is the host fee, which is set at 8%. This fee is quite high, being almost three times the amount charged by Airbnb. What makes you the best choice given these circumstances? In my opinion, this rate should be decreased by at least 50%. Currently, I've chosen not to use Vrbo because of their high commission rates and unsatisfactory customer service support. I will continue using Airbnb for now.
